Position Overview

As part of our dedicated team, the Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and effectively operating heavy equipment to load, offload or transport landscape supplies such as mulch, topsoil, soil amendments, and raw materials. The Equipment Operator performs assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness and a level of proficiency that minimizes the risk of personal injury or property damage.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the pre-inspection and operation of heavy equipment such as but not limited to front-end wheel loaders and excavators while loading trucks, excavating material and processing sand & gravel through screening plants to produce washed & sized to spec aggregates.
• Operates truck scale & onboard scale in front end wheel loaders.
• Loads trucks with excellent customer service.
• Adheres to MSHA rules & regulations.
• Responsible for safe operation of plant & other assignments.
• Responsible for plant housekeeping assignments.
• Works as part of a team with his/her co-workers.
• Responsible for servicing plant and equipment
• Performs other duties as required.

**QUARRY EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED FOR THIS POSITION**
